kykNET & kie's new Afrikaans telenovela Skemergrond premieres on Monday 1 July at 19h30, replacing Arendsvlei which wraps the Thursday before, almost six years since its premiere.

It will be gone but not forgotten because numerous Arendsvlei actors headline Skemergrond, alongside a medley of 7de Laan stalwarts stirred with newcomers.

As we spilt here, Skemergrond takes place in the fictional Western Cape town of Gemoedsdrif and centres round the Louw family and their flower farm.

The series opens with the delivery of a letter that leads to events that will irrevocably change their life.
