Tropika Island of Treasure returns for Season 11 this year and the search is on for seven contestants who want to join the season's seven schlebs in a game to win the shared prize of R1-million.
Expresso presenter Zanele Potelwa will be hosting, replacing Katlego Maboe who's busy with Deal or No Deal, and the celebrity players are:
Former Scandal! star and current Skeem Saamer Hungani Ndlovu,
Socialz influencer and schmodel Karl Kuggelman,
Umlilo star Omuhle Gela, also known for her roles on Muvhango and The Queen,
Singer and TV personality Bobby van Jaarsveld,
Socialz influencer and Dance Yo Duma mentor Chad Jones,
Socialz influencer and schmodel Nqobile Khwezi and,
Miss South Africa 2022 Ndavi Nokeri.
The format
It remains the same as previous editions: contestants and celebs team up to compete in various physical and mental challenges on a tropical island.
The season's venue: Zanzibar.
The prize: The winning partnership shares the R1-million prize.
The channel: S3 once again.
Each contestant will also receive R10,000.
The auditions also have a competition aspect whereby you can win a cash prize in weekly giveaways by uploading your audition.
How to apply
Considering the number of influencers in the cast, it's no surprise that auditions are happening on the socialz.
Applications are open to those who are 18 and older.
You need to upload your audition video either to TikTok, Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, using the hashtag #Tropika and tagging @MyTropika.

Our advice:
- Be yourself,
- Be creative,
- Storyboard your video before filming it so you know exactly what you're going to say and do,
- Don't make it too long but ensure you give yourself enough time to have impact,
- Don't wear slippers. Or perhaps do. Depending on what you're going for.
- Speak clearly and don't waffle,
- Take a risk.
