Season 8 hosts: Ivete, Arsenio, Jackie and Devon

Durbanites... grab your apron and get ready to entertain us on the ninth season of Come Dine With Me South Africa.

BBC Lifestyle has ordered a new season of the culinary caper and this time they're looking for dinner hosts in three cities instead of two: Cape Town, Joziburg and Durbs by the sea.

We've been complaining about the limitations of only featuring Cape Town and Jozi for ages so it's super to see they've extended the locations. Bring on more!

They're looking for 48 hosts in total.

Who are they looking for?

Hosts who are:

 A whizz in the kitchen,

Have loads of personality & confidence,

 Love entertaining,

Have the ability to perform under pressure,

Have what it takes to meet the challenge.

They're looking for people who are articulate, interesting and enthusiastic about the show.

You need to be willing to share your home, cooking, private thoughts and opinions in an open forum of "strange".

The format

Exactly the same as previous seasons, still produced by Rapid Blue.

If you aren't familiar with the format, check out the TVSA Show Page here: Come Dine With Me South Africa

Application must knows

You need to be at least 18 years of age to apply and need to be a South African citizen or permanent resident.

Auditions will be happening in April 2023, by invitation.

If you'd like to apply, you'll find more info with the application form here: Come Dine With Me South Africa 9 Applications

Closing date: 23h59 SAST on 9 April 2023

They actually used to also feature Durban in older seasons, infact even PE.  Can we please get 20 episodes this season
