uZulu no Mhlaba

Drama series partially set and filmed in Ulundi township in KwaZulu-Natal which tells the story of two maskandi artists who engage in a brutal feud over music – only to discover they are more closely linked than they could have imagined.

The series explores two generations of maskandi musicians: fathers and their sons, and each generation's musical (and deeply personal) rivalry.

Having come from very different backgrounds but with a shared passion for maskandi music, Zulu and Mhlaba turn into bitter rivals when they inherit a feud held by their respective fathers.

They learn a secret long hidden from them when an unspeakable tragedy occurs.

What impact will this have on the world around them, their loved ones and each other?

It is a story of music and rivalry, and what human beings will do when faced with life-changing moments that need them to confront their deepest fears to overcome them.

The series stars Aphiwe Bengu as Zulu and Ntokozo Vilakazi as Mhlaba.

Also starring are Ernest Ndlovu, Ayanda Borotho, Nothando Ngcobo, Phumzile Mlangeni and award-winning maskandi musician Ihhashi Elimhlophe (real name Bheki Ngcobo).

First Home Fix

Renovation gurus Raisa Kuddus and Austin Coleman help first-time homeowners transform their starter homes without breaking the bank.

Raisa is an artist and designer who relies on her love of colour, design history and nature to create one-of-a-kind spaces.

Austin is a builder and woodworker who is passionate about incorporating unique custom pieces into each project.

Together in each of the six episodes, the design duo will help these new homeowners revamp their lacklustre first place using sweat equity, clever design decisions and their boundless creativity.

In the series premiere, "Growing Family Renos": Raisa and Austin help two pairs of homeowners, each with a $50,000 renovation budget and a desperate need for some personalisation.

They meet Derek and Juliet, a couple who can't seem to make their home reflect their personality; and Cassie and Glenn, new parents who hastily purchased a house before the birth of their son.

With the help of Raisa and Austin, both first-time homeowners will receive a thoughtfully designed, personalised home that they never dreamed possible.
