a break from Kubekas is what we needed and thank goodness there is no Vukile and his wife in the teasers. THis show has truly lost its identity and the writers are just grasping at straws. I dont get what direction they are planning to take this show into but I am afraid they are stepping on waters.  If only they hadnt taken out the original cast, or the one before these Kubekas, it would have been better. Grace, Tsatsi, Q, the Langa kids, Lerumo, Tibello and KHumo , Mlu and Zinzile then they would not have suffered this identity crisis. And all the original families are no longer present especially the Nyathis. I mean, what is Muvhango without the Mukwevhos, Isidingo without the Sibekos and Generations without the Mororkas? Scandal is on the downlow and it needs some star studded writers to take over thi show before it is axed. I was reading an article recently expressing fears that it has lost over 10% of itd viewers since the introduction of the Kubekas and that the show is now worrking on a tight budget since revenue is dwindling like crazy. Hence explains why Tasha Sutherland (Layla), Marjorie Langa (Gloria) and Nqobile Nunu K.H (Hlengiwe) were all demoted to supporting cast. Also, I hear Slindile and Fana (Nomvula and Vuks)were forced on a break due to failure of the show to bring in profits. Having big names in a show would not mean automatic numbers for the show. Soapie lovers maybe bored with a soap but what make them stay around is loyalty to the original cast. One would only watch Uzalo because Nkunzi was there when he|she started watching. Plus introducing new characters every four months makes the soap only hazy and difficult to follow. I see there is a bunch of newbies - Dipolelo and Rosinah. Like WTF...Rather than handing storylines to newbies- why not hand over such storylines to the original cast. GTL does that all the time and it sticks. Someone who last  watched the show five years ago, should be able to resonate with the characters if he starts to watch today. If he \she sees complete different people he will just let go.
Where is Chumani right now? CEO of the show's major work space - NFH and SCANDAL!
Does Scandal only focus on Izigigaba and The New Voice only, what about other journalists like Bongi and Lerato. Where is the Scandal magazine now?
What the hell happened to Amo's trial?
Where is NYasha?
THings do not just disappear like this in real life.
IF ONLY THE NEW WRITERS KNEW THAT THIS SOAP WAS ALL ABOUT MEDIA AND JOURNALISTS then they would have directed the show into the right direction. WE would not be misssing the likes of Anzani, Sasha,  Eddie, Shakira, Dika, MO, Donna, Thembeka and Tino like we do now. i wish they could return back to the drawing board and turn this show around or else...it will be axed before we know it. IF these names make up the main cast, it would be a starting point
Mapasi Koetle
Gcina NKosi
Mathew Rantsoma
Nomvelo MKhanya
Patrick Mofokeng
Nqobile Nunu K.H
Marjorie Langa
Natasha Sutherland
Andile Sithole
Ayanda Daweti
Lorcia Cooper
Melusi Mbele
Nolwazi Ngubeni and work within your budget. Also add more of the major cast to the NFH building. We grew up knowing that is where the Scandal was

@TVSA Team. Thank you @thelionking You are right and your previous posts can attest to that. Their blunder was a complete removal of the Nyathis. There, they threw the spanner in the works. I understand actors leave, but you then you are supposed to be creative and keep the family alive...long lost cousins, secret children etc. Look how the Bold and the Beautiful has gone with original families even when they are not the same original cast
