The Longest Date returns to S3 this Monday 26 July at 21h00 for a second season of high octane hook-ups and the promise of chortleworthy moments.
What strikes us most about the season is that producers BrandGen are describing it as a romantic-comedy reality show, which is exactly what we need is these crazy times of ours.
Love yes, but laughter too, because why? Laughter is the best medicine. 'strue!
The season's set in the Oribi Gorge in KwaZulu-Natal, Christopher Jaftha returns as host and the format remains the same as Season 1.
16 singles are matched up into 8 couples and must try to get their dates to fall in love with them as they embark on weekly tasks involving extreme adventures e.g shark cage diving and rally racing in mud.
The prize: love, if it sparks. And the chance of winning R100,000 cash.
At the end of the season, the winning couple play a game of chance and the winner must decide if they want to share the R100,000 with their long time date or hoard it all for themselves.
