Timeless Dizi Channel's primetime line-up on launch

As you probs know, the new Turkish novela channel TDC launches on DStv 123 this Monday (2 November) as the Timeless Dizi Channel, with Dizi being the Turkish translation of Drama.

It's going to be available on the Premium, Compact Plus, Compact and Family packages until March 2021.

To give you an idea of what to expect, here's a hat-trick pack of the primetime novelas that premiere with its launch:

The Red Scarf
Premiere date: Monday, 2 November 2020 at 18h20
Aired in Turkey: 2011/2012
Director: Ali Bilgin
Starring: Seçkin Özdemir, Özge Özpirinçci, Baris Falay


Beautiful Asiye, a rebel spirit in a small town, meets the mischevious and handsome lyas when he has an accident at the motocross tracks. Their love-at-first-sight grows fast in just a few days - but this brings problems.
 

Moms and Mothers
Premiere date: Monday, 2 November 2020 at 19h10
Aired in Turkey: 2015
Director: Mehmet Ada Öztekin
Starring: Sinem Kobal, Hazar Ergüçlü, Okan Yalabik


Set in 1970s Turkey, Moms and Mothers tells the story of two young women whose lives become unexpectedly intertwined.

Kader lives in a small village in Anatolia and longs for nothing more than a happy life with Mustafa, but following a tragic accident, she is left alone in Istanbul.

Zeliha is a smart, educated woman whose passionate relationship with the activist Murat leaves her in danger and ultimately widowed and pregnant.

Nine months on, the two women’s paths cross…
 

Karadayi

Starring: Kenan Imirzalioglu, Bergüzar Korel, Çetin Tekindor


Istanbul, 1970s. The Kara family is highly respected in the working class area where they live and Mahir’s father Nazif is looked upon as ‘Karadayi’- the benign godfather of the area, who people turn to for advice and help in time of need.

Unfortunately, the family’s life turns upside down because of a wrongful accusation that results in the imprisonment of Nazif Kara for a murder he didn’t commit.

the channel closes soon if you want to continue following it get Starsat. So many Turkish fans will be disappointed but at least it has a home.
