Freedom!

Yes, it was THAT Level 2 Presidential Address that turned out to be the most watched announcement of Lockdown, since the first announcement.

The Top 5

Uzalo 8,980,712
Generations: The Legacy 7,345,103
Skeem Saam 6,532,362
Presidents Address 5,534,027
Scandal 4,563,297

Millions watching daytime TV

These TAMS documents from the BRC are shoddy again this month with incorrect parameters.

They're supposed to reflect Primetime viewing between 17h30 and 22h00 but they include some daytime shows, meaning other relevant Primetime shows have been left off the list.

They do give insight into daytime viewing patterns though, revealing that Skeem Saam and Imbewu are attracting just over 2.5 and 1.5 viewers respectively on week days.

Gomora also does well for pay TV, with over 400,000 for a morning.

This strongly suggests that channels should be focusing on their daytime offering more by making it a proper "thing" instead of the current set-up of randomly thrown together repeats.
