If you sing in a group that performs one of these genres OR if you want to create a new group for the occasion... this casting call is for you.
A new reality competition show Amazing Voices debuts on DStv in early 2020 and the search is on for singing groups who want to compete.
Auditions are happening in four African countries: South Africa, Kenya, Zimbabwe and Ghana.
Everyone will compete against each other in one show and the series will air on Mzansi Magic, Maisha Magic East, Zambezi Magic and Africa Magic Family in the respective countries.
The format: what you need to know
The search begins with open auditions in the four countries (see the venues and dates below).
Celebrity judges will select three groups from each genre (pop, gospel and R&B) at these auditions, taking the shortlisted groups to a total of nine.
These nine groups will then go through an elimination process to choose three finalist groups who will advance to the grand stage where they will sing to win the main prize in a showdown in Joziburg.
The show will run for 13 weeks.
The prize: $100,000 (R1.5 million).
