The MTV Base VJ Search is back for 2018 and the auditions fire up soon.
The search is on for a new face for MTV Base - someone between the ages of 18 to 25 who has the vivaciousness, spunk and VJ'ness to win a 12-month contract with the channel.
The job description
The winner will become the new face of MTV Base and will have the opportunity to host MTV shows, interview stars, MC live events etc.
Previous winners include Sizwe Dhlomo (the very first in 2006), Fikile "Fix" Moeti, Vanessa Mdee, Nomuzi Mabena, Sandile Ntshingila and Tshego Mosupye.

Audition must-knows
Auditions start at 09h00 and end at 16h00 in each city.
Applicants must be South African residents, between the ages of 18 and 25.
You need to take a valid ID book with you.

MTV's also looking for someone who has a passion for global and African youth culture and music, someone who's authentic and lives life in colour.
