And the winner of the 2018 VJ Search is...25-year-old Ntandose, from Daveyton in Gauteng:
Ntandose is known by two surnames: Mosibi, which is how she was credited by the VJ Search. She was also credited with this surname when she played a guest role on Generations: The Legacy in early 2016.
She's also known as Nkabinde, which she uses on social media.
She's going to need to make up her mind on which surname to use now that she's won the VJ Search.
Ntandose was announced the winner on MTV Base on Wednesday night (17 October) after beating back her competition, which consisted of Namibian born, Cape Town-based finalist Nalitye Shaninga and Angolan born Joziburger, Jonatao Morais.
This is what she's won:
A 12-month on-air contract with MTV Base,
A Fiat Tipo,
A year’s supply of Breezers (quantity unspecified),
An all-expenses-paid trip to Thailand.
Interesting to note: MTV Base
may have taken the number of viewer votes into consideration to decide on the winner.
Viewers could vote for their favourite contender in the Top 3 but MTV Base put this disclaimer on the voting when voting lines opened and closed last week:
"Voting is now open and will close on Tuesday, 09 October 2018 at 12:00 CAT and the final winner will be announced on Wednesday, 17 October 2018 at 21:30 CAT. MTV Base reserves the right to select the winner at its discretion and may take into consideration the number of votes received by a Nominee."
