Chris Welman to exit 7de Laan stage left

That's it folks. TVSA blogger charmed_dude predicted it (here!) and now it's been confirmed by 7de Laan.

It's oves for Mariaan's unconvicted convict husband Chris Welman, who exits the action on 19 October 2018.

David Rees, who's played Chris since the arrival of the Welman family two years ago, won't be part of 7de Laan's new season.

In true soapie-style, 7de Laan's staying hush-hush on the deets of his departure but what we know for sure is that David films his final scenes on 31 July - the day before filming starts on the next season.

What's your ideal exit for him? Who else should Go? Who should Stay?

He must take his entire family along with him. But honestly, is there ever going to be a permanant resident in that Terreblanche home?

Let's face it guys - this series has been worked to death. Why not just bow out gracefully? Or show us re-runs of Sewende Laan when it was still Sewende Laan.
