The 12th Annual South African Film and Television Awards

SABC2 is once again set to broadcast the annual South African Film and Television awards. Broadcasting live from Sun City, SABC2 will carry the red carpet from 19h30 and the award ceremony broadcast will follow at 20h00.

The SABC1 Sunday night drama Tjovitjo leads the drama pack with seven nominations, followed by Die Boekklub (kykNET), Lockdown (Mzansi Magic) and Hard Copy (SABC3) with four noms each.

The comedy categories are headed by kykNET's offbeat comedy Hotel and ST One's satirical puppet show Puppet Nation ZA, with eight nominations apiece. Another kykNET comedy, Elke Skewe Pot, and the SABC1 staple Ses'Top La follow with six nominations each.

The soapie categories are dominated by Mzansi Magic's Isibaya, with eight nods. High Rollers (SABC3) and Isithembiso (Mzansi Magic) with five each, and Suidooster (kykNET) and Ring of Lies (Mzansi Magic) with four.

The awards ceremony will be hosted by TV and radio personalities Phat Joe and Thando Thabethe, with the red carpet being hosted by Kuli Roberts and Rorisang Thandekiso.
