Four-part documentary series which explores the love stories of four prominent South African couples whose marriages have stood the test of time, proving that love can still flourish in contemporary times.

Celebrated Love explores how relationships can survive and even thrive through the highs and lows of longterm commitment through the marriages of Sonia and Matthew Booth (ex soccer star and his author-and-radio host wife), Heinz and Aletté-Johanni Winckler (the Idols winner and his entrepreneur wife), theatre and television royalty Des and Dawn Lindberg and the radio and television personalities Thabo "T-bose" and Mapaseka Mokwele.

Even though each of our couples' has a unique story, there is a shared philosophy that keeps their relationships alive.

Using the traditional marriage vows to guide the narrative arc, the show investigates how each couple has managed to keep their promises to each other alive.

Episode 1: Matthew and Sonia Booth

Matthew and Sonia Booth

The first episode explores the marriage and relationship of former Bidvest Wits soccer star Matthew Booth and his author, model and radio-host wife, Sonia Booth.

This couple had significant odds stacked against their relationship right from the start, and had to work so much harder at keeping their relationship strong.

Today Matthew and Sonia share a strong bond, and have built a loving home for their young boys, Noah and Nathan.

Episode 2: Heinz and Aletté-Johanni Winckler

Like all meaningful marriages, theirs has been tested and tried with health, financial and communication challenges which they have resolved by reverting to the primary basis of their relationship: their shared Christian faith.

They are not only successful in their respective careers, but have built a family with their three young boys.
