The cast and crew of 7de Laan wrap 2017 this week when the production shuts down for the festive season. 

TVSA caught up with some of the starring cast to get the inside snoop on what they're doing with their free time over the holidays.

These are their plans, with snapshots from their year...

Vinette Ebrahim (Charmaine)

"My bed will be my best friend for most of the time. Quiet time with lots of Prosecco, surrounded by my dogs, cats and birds. A brief visit to my grandchildren...and then rest!"




Quinne Brown (Connie)

"I will be back with my American Family, celebrating how only the Americans can, big tree, lots of food, many decorations and lights etc. It will be good to connect with dear friends that have become my family over the past ten years and see our family for a few weeks.

Love and light and a very merry festive season to all."




Mimi Mahlasela (Aggie)

"I'll be spending the holidays with my family and friends, I'm planning to travel to Lesotho the last week of Dec and returning in the new year."




Deirdre Wolhuter (Mariaan)

"I will be in Cape Town with the people who are dearest to me, my family and closest friends, and we’ll be doing what I love most: we kuier in the kitchen or around a long table till the sun comes up!"




Hennie Jacobs (Diederik)

"I will be with my family. My wife and two daughters. Spending as much time as possible together. We are very close and especially use times like Christmas to get closer and laugh and love as much as possible."




Dimpho More (Nozi)

"I will be spending time with my family for Christmas in Nelspruit. And then I will be in Cape Town for the remainder with some friends."




Theodore Jantjies (Xander)

"I’m planning on taking it easy this Dec/Jan holidays, at home braai’ing and chilling next to the pool. The family is visiting so I'm looking forward to laughter and good conversation.

"I’m not visiting Cape Town this time due to the water-crisis. Jozi isn't so busy over the festive period so we’ll visiting parks, go to the zoo, have lunch at the Vaal-river and stay over in Parys for a night or two. A roadtrip to the Kruger Park might be on the cards."




Annelize van der Ryst (Matrone)

"Matrone ry met Jan Tuisbly se karretjie vanjaar en gaan Kersdag saam met my awesome bure James en Jenny Drew deurbring."

"Matrone will be riding in Jan Stay-At-Home's car this year and will be spending Christmas Day with my awesome neighbours James and Jenny Drew."


Jacques Blignaut (Vince)

"I will be spending the festive season with my beautiful wife and amazing kids in sunny, tranquil Johannesburg. We might visit with extended family in the surrounding areas."




Nadia Herbst (Olivia)

"I am currently in a show called Party Time at The Rockwood Theater were I will be singing till the end of the year. As soon as my show ends I will be doing adventurous things like hiking, sight seeing in and around Gauteng with my friends and my mother who will be visiting me from Cape Town."




Annelisa Weiland (Hilda)

"I am not going anywhere over the festive season and will be spending my time with my dogs Zara and Jasper and friends who are also not going away."
