These are the primetime adult television viewing figures for June 2017.

If you can't see the listing below, then click this link to access them in a document instead: Top shows on TV: June 2017

If you're unable to see either of the above documents, this is an overview of the Top 5 shows for each channel/broadcaster:

Show Viewers
Scandal 4,388,685
Rhythm City 3,561,978
Hercules (Animation) 2,969,096
Alvin and the Chipmunks 2,883,332
Wwe Wrestling Raw 2,667,506

*Please note: there's an error in the Broadcast Research Council's e.tv report again this month. Scandal! and Rhythm City have been included twice so we've removed the second instances to give an accurate reflection of the Top 5. The error means that two shows have been left off the Top 20 list so it isn't an accurate reflection of the channel's Top 20.

DStv

Show Viewers
Igazi 1,168,240
Our Perfect Wedding 1,158,984
Isibaya 917,958
Date My Family 825,072
The Queen 790,271

*Please note: the BRC has included Isibaya's primetime broadcast twice so we've removed the second instance as with e.tv.

The DStv report also includes morning repeats that don't fall into the parameters of primetime (17h00/17h30 - 22h00) and therefore this report also isn't an accurate reflection of DStv's Top 20 primetime shows. Four other shows should be on the list.

Special Notes

DStv's No.1 show

This is the second time that Igazi has reached the No. 1 spot on DStv. It reached it exactly a year ago during Season 1: Igazi reaches hit status.

Survivor and Broken Vows score

Survivor and Broken Vows scored from the broadcast of the International Friendly soccer match on SABC1 on 13 June. Generations only aired after 21h00 so fans who didn't watch the soccer went elsewhere during Gen's usual timeslot.

Survivor shot up to take the No. 3 position on SABC3 and Broken Vows appeared in e.tv's Top 20 for the first time. Of course it might have made it last month if the list had been accurate.

Real Talk

Notably missing from SABC3: Real Talk with Anele, which has made the list each month since its move to 17h00. This could be because the SABC3 Top 20 list also doesn't stick to primetime - three daytime movies have been included in this month's listing.

Channels in this post: SABC1, SABC2, SABC3, e.tv, kykNET, SuperSport HD, Mzansi Magic

Well done Skeem Sam!

etv should put a music show after Scandal. The 8 pm slot is a perennial losing battle for them and I see no change anytime soon.
