Isidingo: Introducing Barker's mini-me Jody

So this is what Barker looked like when he still had hair:

We get to see his son Jody on Isidingo for the first time next month and he's all grown up. And cocky.

He doesn't want to be in South Africa nor on the Deep and he loathes being with his estranged father. He's played by Garion Dowds: Kyle on Generations, Gabriel on Soul Buddyz 5 and son to presenter and actor Ashley Dowds.

He arrives on Monday, 14 November.

And he's not alone. Isidingo continues to bus in the newcomers with three other new cast members, including Top Actor 2 finalist Shamilla Miller.

Shamilla debuts on Monday (25 October) as Daniella Scott, Angelique's niece, who gets arrested for drug trafficking when she returns to South Africa from Brazil. Luckily Angie's the aunt you need when you're in lockdown so Angie moves in with her legal whip.

What she doesn’t realise is that she's got bigger problems on the Horizon with the late-November arrival of her father Conrad Scott, played by Egoli and 7de Laan star Deon Coetzee.

He's a father who's done a lot wrong in the past - as so many of them do - and he wants to put things right. The trouble is, he always has an agenda so his attempts at redeeming himself are plagued by the fact that he's hiding a big secret.

Someone else with a secret is Katlego Danke (Generations, Backstage), who sparks a secret affair. Katlego plays Khothala Mokoena, wife to Tyson Mokoena (Shona Ferguson).

She's obsessed with business, she's oh-so-successful and needs much more than Tyson. She visits the Deep with him in early November and has a "liaison" with someone. Who? Who most needs a lusty roll in the sack?

Kyle is such a cutie! Im gonna go back to Isidingo just to see the dynamic between him and Barker.

even bringing Will Smith, Isidingo will never grow viewers hip always the same numbers and unfortunately I'll never be a fan

There is always a group of ppl joinining Isidingo .I like Katlego Danke ,I hope she has a more permanent role .I wonder if Herman knew 7de laan might shut down wen he left mmmm

1000 cast no loyal shame bt something is not working on this show and characters are tired. .use to like yonda Thomas and thought he was a gr8 actor bt he is painful to watch and naaq musiq too they are horrible. ..i dnt know bt something is very wrong on isidingo

I left Isidingo for Rhythm City again a few weeks ago. The show is a mess, I couldn't anymore. And I also hate the fact that they have a million cast members but dololo storyline.

Restructure the writing team, hire talented writers instead of hiring a million boring cast. I used to love Khabonina's villainous characters but on isidingo she's plain boring they are wasting her talent, same thing with Anga, Shona and I'm sure Katlego will bore us too. Isidngo used to be a hit but not anymore.

Bongi Ndaba wants to bring everyone from the old Generations here I see .first it was Anga(obakeng),Queen and now Katlego Danke .I bet Noluntu will be next .isidingo has lost all its magic shem

Exactly and they are playing the same old characters, Anga is always angry on Isidingo too. They are killing Isidingo's old characters, Nikiwe used to be this high class powerful businesswoman now she's plain boring and her character is going nowhere.

This show is such a try hard.. exactly the opposite of Rhythm City, which simply slays by hiring less known actors. They have such a good cast but such bad storylines, opposite of Generations, which has the best storylines but the execution be a 5/10
