Siyakha ejected from Idols over contract dispute

Top 16 Idols finalist Siyakha Tshayela has been given the boot by the show as a result of claims that she already has a signed contract with a recording company.

This statement just in from Mzansi Magic:

Siyakha Tshayela has been withdrawn from the 2016 season of Idols South Africa with effect from 15th September 2016 as a result of a dispute between herself and an independent recording company.

Participants are required to sign an exclusive recording deal with the Idols-appointed recording label when they enter the series.

On the 1^st of August, Ms. Tshayela informed us that she had entered into discussions with an independent recording company before entering Idols, but she maintained there was no contract in place. The recording company insists there is.

Discussions have been held with all the affected parties since then, but there is still no resolution.

Due to conditions stipulated by the Idols format rights holder, we are unable to continue with a contestant that is currently involved in a legal dispute of this nature. Ms. Tshayela is therefore not able to continue as a contestant.

Mzansi Magic and Idols producers wish her all the best with her music career.

So I wasted my vote .I really wanted her to win this ,oh well .that is not Siyakha on the pic .its Amanda.

she was not a gud singer just overated just like mmatema last season.. keegan last sundae performance got raved by those clueless judges...i mean they dnt enen notice dt guy sang off key when singi with normal voice...randel is just old and think the show is abt him"complain dymt he does not like the song" i mean its not abt ur favourites song..as for somizi his clueless dnt know the difference between off key and singing with monotone voice
