Hlomla Dandala joins Scandal! as the guy you want to know

Goodbye Tumisho Masha. Hello Hlomla Dandala.

Scandal! has swapped one acting heavyweight with another with the signing of Hlomla Dandala. Hlomla's joined the soapie in the role of Kingsley Siseko Langa, described as: suave, charismatic and graceful.

Kingsley's a human rights lawyer who's involved with the Thebe family and he's the sort of guy you want to know. He's a man of few words who fights for the underdog and strives for justice. And he doesn't do fame. He's an introvert who avoids publicity and he carries an air of nobility about him.

Hlomla's been filming since the start of June and debuts on Friday, 29 July.

Dintle's fury causes her to go behind Mangi's back, and Yvonne has the wind taken out of her sails by an unexpected arrival.

LOL why are you catching feelings @Goku? I am entitled to my opinion you know! High Rollers has a better writing team and an exciting storyline with pace. Scandal is BORING.

he will also flop just like tumisho did and he did no action on rockville bt ecxell on boring..fact is HighRollers is the best out of all these SA soapies

Tell them @qavile! Scandal is stale and stagnant. They keep hiring "popular" actors but keep putting them in going nowhere slowly storylines. They've run out of ideas.

Scandal! Is the best soapie in South Africa. When it comes to casting and writing the creative team never disappoint. They are doing an excellent job. People were doubting Kgomotso Christopher but she's killing this Yvonne character and she fits perfectly with Naledi. I'm sure Hlomla will kill this Kingsley character too. Patiently waiting for fireworks between the Nyathi's and Thebe's.

Pople forget that Hlomla has actually directed some of the episodes on Scandal and he will pull it off. I am excited at the prospect of Hlomla. Everyone has the freedom to choose what they want to watch and I damn well enjoy Scandal better than any other soapie that's currently out there, yeah I said it. And the good thing about the Scandal writers is that they realised that the Hector story was not working and they were open to changing that. Whether anyone wants to go and watch High Rollers or whatever it is called, then go ahead and leave us with our boring, stale and stagnant Scandal. Thank you very much.

I would like to know what the numbers say. Can someone from TVSA help us with the viewership numbers for both Scandal and High Rollers?

@Ingenuity viewership numbers of scandal are 2/3million and high rollers 900 000 so we cant compare numbers cz high rollers its still a baby bt truth is HighRollers is gud than scandal

High Rollers has been on TV for the past 2 if not 3 years, it used to air once a night, unless this is a different show to the High Rollers that was on SABC 3. So you calling it a baby is a bit of a stretch. If it was about a popularity contest, clearly Scandal is more established on the timeslot and it would win hands down. Men lie, women lie but the numbers don't lie. However, me asking for the numbers had nothing to do with the conversation at hand. It was just out of interest.

You are intitled to your own opinion. Cos at the end of the day, whether you think your favourite show is better than Scandal, is just that, your opinion.

I like my boring, stale and stagnant Scandal.

lol cool bt then thats a huge archievement for a show that has 2/3yrz and use to air 1 night then 3 now 5daes and to compete with established show like scandal...i never said scandal is boring cz its one of my fave show too..im just saying comparing these two shows highRollers is winning even if it had 10 viewers and scandal billion viewers..just like generations the legacy is my number1 fave show bt still HighRollers is well written

Unfortunately having more viewers is what is called winning cos it generates more advertising revenue for the whichever chanel. You get charged more to advertise on SABC1 during generations, same applies to all the shows with higher viewership rates. Scandal has had its ups and downs. even during the whole Hector debacle, Natasha Sutherland pulled off some of her best acting when she was crying for Hector. Even Romes had a good turn.
And sorry for painting you with the same brush as deziclesthagawd.

I have being a fan of hlomla Dandala since the early days of isidingo .I enjoyed his portrayal of a politician in End Game ,I am glad he has joined the scandal family .@ingenuity wat an amazing actress Natasha sutherland is .I am glad she taking control of the company before Q causes further damage .

And it doesn't hurt that I got to see Mr Sha he is so sexy. I like is when he speaks law. @max85, I loved him as MinE Manager on Isidingo. He was good on Jacob's cross.
