DStv has launched a special pop up channel on Channel 199 to tribute the life of Muhammad Ali in the wake of his death.

The legendary boxer died from respiratory problems in Phoenix on Friday (3 June), surrounded by his children.

The tribute channel features his greatest fights, interviews and documentaries about his life and it's available on the Premium, Extra, Compact, Family and Access - from today (4 June) at 12h00 until next Sunday (12 June).

RIP Ali.

Is this happening for real TVSA.  Cant find it on any of my channels.  Even on 199.  Had to reread the start dates and check my calendar.

Hi zuva - yes, it's definitely happening but we're also having a problem getting to it with one of our decoders.

We're getting it on the Explora but not on our other PVR so we're going to try rebooting. We can't do it right now because we're recording something but we'll try once it's done. Try rebooting and see what happens.

Hi zuva - apologies, we've deleted your post by mistake - we were replying and hit the wrong button.

We've asked MultiChoice and have the solution... you need to set your decoder to "All channels" instead of "Favourite channels" or "My channels" and then the channel will be available.

Getting to this function might be different on a decoder to a PVR but to get to it on a PVR you need to click the TV function and you get the options. We've just done it and we're getting the channel now.
