Egoli alumni Lindie Strydom and Anrich Herbst as Frankie's parents Amanda and Mike van Wyk.
And from the sounds of it they're involved in something quite gobsmacking yet true.
This is how they describe their characters:
Lindie: “Amanda is a well-known psychologist and relationship expert who has written several books.
At first glance, it seems Amanda and her husband Mike, to whom she has been married for 32 years, are the perfect example of what a marriage should be.
But as the storyline unfolds, we also see the less pleasant side of their apparent ease and predictable stability."
According to Anrich, developments in the storyline will leave viewers breathless.
Anrich: “All I can say is: remember, it’s just a story… but these kinds of things do happen.”
What could these be?
Our theories:
1. They're in a throuple and Frankie doesn't know.
2. Mike likes to be whipped by Amanda.
3. Amanda enjoys... okay, we'll stop - our minds are plunging into the gutter.
Flash facts on Lindie and Anrich
Lindie played Okahandja farm girl Karin Edwards on M-Net soapie Egoli for 13 seasons, from 1997 - she was cast straight out of school.
She was credited under her maiden name Lindie van Eeden. She married her husband Johann in 2002.
Anrich landed his big break at 15, as Wimpie in the comedy series Orkney Snork nie! He portrayed Dewald Vorster on Egoli for five seasons, starting with Season 1 in 1992.
In 2002/2003 he played Duncan Haines on SABC3's Isidingo.
Lindie and Anrich have never acted together - Anrich wasn't in Egoli anymore when Lindie debuted.
