Zabalaza's new opening credits: the beginning of the end

Zabalaza suddenly introduced a new title sequence last week starring money, the removal of a ring, a blossoming baby's hand, a gun and a graveyard.

It's a surprising move considering the fact that it's supposed to end after being cancelled last year so what does it mean? Has the channel decided to uncancel it?

Nope! Turns out they've created the sequence as a fresh countdown to the end. Word from Mzansi Magic is that the sequence has been created to reflect the current storylines and the climax as the series moves towards the finish line.

It also clarifies the current starring cast with the removal of some names and the addition of others in the opening credits. Three of the cast have been elevated to series stars in the credits: Nonhle Thema, Mthunzi Ntoyi and Kabomo Vilakazi, who is simply credited as Kabomo.

The final episode airs on Thursday, 28 April 2016.

Happy it is coming to an end.

I love zabalaza but soapies drag storylines leaving viewers pulling their hair in dissapointment.  Ray has killed too many people to be still enjoying peaceful days like he is, Jazzman got arrested what is so special about Ray.

Zabalaza was good at times even better than Isibaya but timeslot worked in their disadvantage plus killing the whole previous cast really was senseless.  They cld have been written out in a better way.

The way they let Ray get away with everything is exhausting at times .the writers had nothing much to right about really ,so its a good thing its ending .I admire M-net cz they hv the guts to can a showif its not delivering .we can't say the same about the SABC .
