That's the sad truth, casting is based on looks. There are tons of actors who can't act but were chosen because they are beautiful or handsome

I believe its based on both. If the script writer had a particular look for a certain actor and found that in someone that "cant act" I don't think they'd care. They take them on and probably hope their acting improves with experience. They'd probably put programs in place or advise them to improve on their acting. You do notice sometimes when there is a rather terrible actor/actress who suddenly improves after a period of time. At the end of the day, no one but the director, script writing and casting director have the last day. We just have to take note of the manner in which they cast, maybe read the synopsis and build our characters according to that. If you can't beat them...do what they want lol

i thnk Isibaya has too much talent than LOOKS,, MUBI U IRIS NAMADLEBE AMAKHULU krkrkr,
ugly ones are as follows with TALENT uMandl, Nkabinde,Mancwane,Sphokazi, Shadrack,Mama mnisi,
beautiful ones with both LOOKS AND TALENT,, Vusi Kunene,Mpiyakhe Zungu, Thandeka, Jabu, Sdumo Mtshali, etc.

i like Andile Gumbi,,( Zweli Ngubani,, ) he is a new kid on the block but MUHLE AND HE IS HANDSOME , FIT AND DEDICATED, he is not than Bad in acting but his LOOKS wuuwoowuuuuu,,
