StarSat launches South African music channel

StarSat adds StarTimes SA Music and StarTimes Soul to their channel offering for Mzansi music lovers
 
On Digital Media's (ODM) pay-TV platform, StarSat is pleased to announce the launch of two video music channels, Star Times SA Music and StarTimes Soul, available on Starsat’s Smart Package, channel 321 and 322.
 
Targeting music lovers young and old, Star Times SA Music features popular and rising South African artists, primarily to promote South African music to the African continent and the rest of the world.
South African music enthusiasts can enjoy a broad spectrum of genres within the South African music category from Kwaito, House, Hip-Hop, Pop, Jazz, Gospel, South African classics and much more. 
 
The StarTimes Soul channel will include a mix of international and local soul music, synonymous with legendary performers such as Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, Luther Vandross, The Temptations and many more.
 
“South Africans love their music and our two exciting new channels definitely won’t disappoint. They offer an excellent choice of music catering to our subscribers’ diverse taste in music. This is definitely one of StarSat’s best offerings yet”, says Ian Woodrow, Head of Content at StarSat.

Subscribers can look forward to, Afro Pop, 1000 Watts of Kwaito, Freshe, 90’s Anthems, New Soul, 90’s Slow Jams and Soul Lounge to name a few.
