When Kabelo's Bootcamp returns for Season 3 in January, it's going to be very different. Kabelo Mabalane's out of the series and other celebrity trainers join the show instead.
The series concept belongs to Mzansi Magic who cast Kabelo for the first two seasons and now they're changing the format by increasing the celebrity factor.
In fact, things are changing so much the channel doesn't even remember what the show used to be called. As you'll see in the release below ... there isn't a mention of Kabelo's Bootcamp anywhere yet it's the title of the show that made it possible for a third season to exist so it's ridiculous not to mention it.
Was it left out deliberately? You be the judge ...

BootCamp Season 3 in Celebrity Style
Mzansi Magic’s BootCamp is getting a transformation of its own when it returns for a new season in January 2015.
In Season 3, the popular weight-loss show will be known as BootCamp Mzansi – Celebrity Edition, with the twelve contestants now facing the challenges and workouts set by a cast of handpicked celebrity trainers.
With their names still under-wraps, the new BootCamp trainers are being drawn primarily from the world of entertainment and sport – with a few surprise trainers also set to make their presence felt on the popular show!
As with the previous Season 1 and 2 headed by Kabelo Mabalane, BootCamp Mzansi will see a dozen South Africans learn to take charge of their bodies, minds and ultimately their lives, boot camp style. This time around, the emphasis will be on the individual journey of the contestants as they attempt a transformation in their lives, with all the blood, sweat, tears and joy that accompanies it.
“We are shaking things up a little on BootCamp with the next season,” explains Nkateko Mabaso, M-Net’s Director for Local Interest Channels.
“There are many homegrown celebrities who are also role models for healthy and active living – and we will be drawing on their insights, experience and unique stories for our bootcampers. We know from our first two seasons that our viewers also get inspired to get fit and healthy when they watch BootCamp and we are sure that Season 3 will once again positively impact the lives of ordinary South Africans.”
The contestants will live in the BootCamp Mzansi house for eleven weeks. During each week, a celebrity trainer will enter the house to take the bootcampers through a morning workout, an afternoon workout, a challenge and, then, an elimination. The contestant who loses the least amount of weight and displays the least amount of determination after every week of challenges is eliminated.
The emphasis is on empowering contestants to face their personal life challenges with conviction, knowledge and courage, especially when they leave the BootCamp house for good.
The Celebrity Trainer’s role would be to ensure that the contestants walk away with the tools to effect a holistic transformation on themselves, even if they leave the BootCamp house during the early elimination rounds
The winner of Season 3 will join previous season winners Thabo Mboya (Season 1) and Thapelo Mabusweni (Season 2).
