Top 6 Song Choices
It’s a Showstopper!

Idols 10 is down to only six contestants and this week they’re performing one of the most spectacular and demanding shows on the Idols calendar: “Showstoppers”!

All seven of the remaining contestants are rehearsing for the Showstoppers show, under the guidance of choreographer extraordinaire Somizi Mhlongo, but only six of them will get to perform for the fans’ votes after saying goodbye to one more of their friends at the start of Sunday’s live show [19 October].

Nelspruit’s Bongi Silinda (24) is keeping it home-grown this week with the Mafikizolo hit, “Happiness”.

Durbanville singer Demi Lee (24) has decided on “Dog Days Are Over”, from the British outfit Florence and the Machines.

Durban’s Kyle Deutschmann (27) is going with John Newman’s “Love Me Again”.

Lize Mynhardt (21) from Stellenbosch has selected Jason Derulo’s “In My Head”.

London Louw (24) from Cape Town is performing the hit “Problem” by Ariana Grande and Iggy Azalea.

eMalahleni’s Musa Mashiane (27) chose the Jamiroquai classic “Love Foolosophy”.

And the worship leader from Pietermaritzburg, Vincent Bones (29) is also keeping it local with the Mzansi mega-hit “Pluto”, from DJ Clock featuring Beatenberg.

Tickets for the show are on sale now from Computicket and the Top 6 Spectacular goes out live on M-Net and Mzanzi Magic on Sunday 19 October at 17:00, with special guest performances from Season 6 runner-up L’loyd Cele and Eastern Cape rap sensation iFani.
