Come Dine With Me: Supersize PREMIERE – Season 4 – 5 Episodes

From Friday 1 June at 19:00 on BBC Lifestyle (channel 180 on DStv)

Series continues every Friday at 19:00

Come Dine With me June 2012

Come Dine With Me: Supersize sees amateur chefs attempt to wow each other with their culinary and dinner party hosting skills in order to win a cash prize.

This new format brings together five episodes in one bumper edition; over the course of a week each chef takes their turn to host a dinner party, and the guests score the host on their way home. The host with the most points scoops the £1,000 prize.

In this season, we meet wannabe chefs from all over the UK. In Bradford we visit barmaid Theresa as she throws an Italian-themed meal for engineer Nigel and Christian charity worker Jane.

In Dundee, cafe owner Tara battles for the crown against Englishman Adam and proud Scotsman Jimmy. Also in Guildford chartered surveyor Mike creates some wholesome British cuisine for his guests – a competitive health nut, a yummy mummy, a home economics teacher and a businesswoman.

Of course, with personality clashes at almost every dinner party, it’s often not just the champagne corks that go with a bang as insults are traded, homes are snooped around, and the flowing wine loosens the diners’ tongues …

Four Weddings PREMIERE – Season 2 – 13 Episodes

From Sunday 17 June at 18:00 on BBC Lifestyle (channel 180 on DStv)

Series continues every Sunday at 18:00

Four Weddings June 2012

Four Weddings provides a ringside seat for the planning, preparation and big day itself, following the journey of four fiancées as they hurtle towards what should be the happiest day of their lives.

But the brides-to-be are involved in a competition, and while each ‘contestant’ is getting hitched, the other three guest brides must cast judgement and secretly score each special day.

Everything must be taken into consideration, from the service and food to the entertainment and even the groom. The bride with the highest score at the end of each episode wins the ultimate prize; a five star dream honeymoon.

The weddings in this season feature extravagant Halloween themed fancy dress, burlesque dancers and tarot readers, and an insight into the best way to organise the big day on a tight budget.

Choccywoccydoodah follows the internationally acclaimed Brighton-based cake shop of the same name and its team of talented and quirky chocolatiers as they create chocolate masterpieces that are quite simply out of this world.

Each episode sees boss Christine and her maverick team building bespoke cake creations for a quite extraordinary range of people. Witness rock legend Alice Cooper marvel at his spooky four-foot Halloween skull cake, and the astonishing cake engineering involved in constructing the shoe designer Christian Laboutin’s stunning shapely leg and killer heel shoe cake.

Also, a Choccywoccydoodah cake takes pride of place with Davina McCall at her favourite charity’s fund raiser, and the team create a cake to compliment party girl Zoe Ball’s 40th birthday celebrations at Claridges.

Witness the stresses and strains faced by Christine and her team as they live up to the reputation of being one of the most innovative cake makers in the world.

Cash In The Attic PREMIERE – Season 12 – 40 Episodes

From Monday 18 June at 9:00 and 9:30 on BBC Lifestyle (channel 180 on DStv)

Series continues every day at 9:00

Unearthing hidden treasures and helping to fulfil dreams.
Cash in the Attic is all about people making the most of their forgotten assets to enable them to achieve things that are important to them.

Each episode centres on a family with a goal – it might be to go on a special holiday, to renovate their home, or anything which requires a little extra cash.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that any of the people featured on the show will reach their estimates or that their target sum will be raised, which makes every edition of Cash in the Attic an intriguing guessing game.

With Eric’s expert guidance they really can’t go wrong.

Jamie’s Great Britain PREMIERE – Season 1 – 6 Episodes

From Tuesday 19 June at 20:00 on BBC Lifestyle (channel 180 on DStv)

Series continues every Tuesday at 20:00

Jamie Large June 2012

Jamie Oliver is taking to the road, travelling the length and breadth of Great Britain in search of new ideas and inspiration for recipes and to find out what makes British food great.

While on his travels he discovers that many of the dishes we think of as British classics aren’t British at all, but full of influences from around the world through invasion, exploration, colonisation and immigration.

Join him as he visits London’s East End to tuck into pie and mash, Leigh-on-Sea to snack on shellfish and Yorkshire where he uncovers the impact of the Industrial Revolution and the history of the world famous Yorkshire pudding.

Jamie also finds time to stop off in the East Midlands for curry, and South Wales for ice cream before he finally wraps up the series in Scotland, where he helps out on a pheasant shoot at the Glen Striven Estate and brings his adventure to a close with an ambitious, catch-all feast that reflects everything he has learnt along his journey.

Jamie combines the best of local game with a recipe that originates from Italy in the mouth-watering seared venison loin with Scottish risotto and golden pheasant hash.

BBC Lifestyle is on DStv, Channel 180.
