This news just in from an SABC2 press release ...

SABC2 wishes to announce the end of American soapie broadcast As The World Turns with the last episode set to air on Tuesday, 28 February 2012.

The soapie, which started broadcasting on SABC2 in April 2010, has reached its broadcasting license period with the distributors now only availing and distributing the series online.

With endings come new beginnings, The M’onique Show will be replacing As The World Turns weekdays with effect Wednesday, 29 February 2012 at 14h10. The Monique Show will be repeated overnight, with The Best of The M’onique Show episode being broadcast every Saturday at 20h00.

I AM ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED AND AT A LOSS FOR WORDS . . . . . SOME OLD FASHIONED BUNCH OF RETARDS PROBABLY SAW THE KISS AND NOW THEY HAD SABC 2 CANCEL AS THE WORLD TURNS. ''OHHHH NOOOOO . . . . YOU CANT SHOW THAT ON THE TV, ITS A VIOLATION OF MY RIGHTS, OH MY IM GOING TO PHONE THE COMPLAINTS COMMISION AND TELL THEM TO TAKE IT OF . . . .  YADA YADA YADA, ! WHY CANT PEOPLE JUST WAKE UP AND FACE A CHANGING WORLD ! I BET ON MY LIFE THATS WHAT HAPPENED !

I WAS LOOKING SO FORWARD TO THE ENTIRE NUKE STORYLINE. NOW WHATS LEFT TO WATCH ON OUR DEARLY BELOVED BROADCASTER NOW ? NOTHING . . . .  NADA . . . . ZILCH ! ! !

How come there was not any pre-notification that As the World Turns was going to end. Surely SABC2 would have known about this long ago - not only 4 days before the last episode was shown. There is something very fishy about this.

I will not be watching The Monique Show. This means I will now not be tuning into SABC2 any longer.

That Luke and Noah kiss was HOT!! I'm a heterosexual female and I thought it was amazing! That storyline was FAR more interesting than all the boring crap that goes on in the Bold And The Beautiful. Thanks for nothing SABC.
