Season 2 of
Flash! premiered on SABC3 last Friday (7 October) and headlined a story about
Khanyi Mbau and the leaked online naked pics of her.
According to the show she was going to be the new co-host of
RGB with Phat Joe for the new Tuesday night season but lost the gig as a result of the scandal. Word from Flash! is that the goss is from a very reliable source.
Of course SABC1 won't deny or confirm the news - all they'll say is that the auditions for a co-host are "continuing" so we can assume that this is exactly what happened.
If you ask me it's beyond ridiculous for a ton of reasons - she should have landed the job. My top 5 reasons why:
1) The Kar'trashians, Paris Hilton etc. have all had similar scandals and it doesn't matter. No-one's died, no-one's turned into a serial killer as a result. It's very possible to see people involved in sexual shenanigans, live through it and turn out sane.
2) Phat Joe and many other celebs have been at the centre of scandals yet because they were dressed they still get hired. Bah!
3) If she leaked the pics herself then she saved the show stacks of money on advertising and buzz. They should have used the pics with the stars as promos for the season.
4) If she didn't leak the pics herself then whoever did tried to sabotage her and they've succeeded - which
sucks bigtime. The thought of people succeeding at sabotage freaks me out like you can't believe - it's like something out of a psycho movie!
5) Phat Joe's perfect to host the show because of his involvement in and understanding of controversy - it would be exactly the same with Khanyi.
