channel O awards 2010: review

It was the night when all african stars were honoured by africa's biggest music channel. And this year it waz extra special as for the 1st time it aired live on channel O.

But that had to come with consequencies as the show waz a few minutes behind on the channel than at the convention centre, a technical glitch that saw the video of the year winners Teargas having to repeat their opening act.

The awards created a buzz on twitter as #channelOawards being on every tweet. The awards co-hosted by Lungsta (sbu on rhythm city) and Thomas Gumede (comedian), who also provided a shacko-whacko hosting like the mtv vmas' Chelsea Handler who also had her jokes lay flat (it seems like this year music awards are hosted by #lamejokers) eish.

And of course mzansi topped awards-as it has been since forever, collecting 5 of the 13 nominations. Scooped on categories like best new comer (L-tido) and video of the year (Teargas- party 101 with tira), Tira, who is everywhere these days, accepting awards like he did all the job /hai man/.

And of course there was no way Liquideep and Black coffee were leaving without something after that wow performance, the performance of the night altogether, scooping best dance and best male respectively.

I apologise if this article is so rookish here but im trying, im jus a kid doin his best. Anyway this year's awards were extra special with the honour of raw african rapper K-naan.

Overall the awards were awesome despite the 1st minute technical problem and those two loser pilots, the awards were good, i have to bow to channel O, as it waz their 1st live award show. Peace
