Jeff LtdPremiere date: Sunday, 25 October 2009 at 21h30
(
Please note: this was originally scheduled to premiere in July and got held over until now.)
A Canadian sitcom starring Jeff Seymour as bachelor-entrepreneur Jeff Stevens - a nickel-and-dime advertising and promotions “genius” who chases get-rich-quick schemes and women of all types.
He is a man with big dreams who wants all the trappings of success, but doesn’t have the work ethic to get there. Instead, the shell games he plays with business and women tend to blow up in his face.
Liz Santerra (Inga Cadranel), Jeff’s partner in their company Santerra & Stevens, often finds herself at odds with Jeff’s cavalier approach to building their fledgling business.
Liz’s moderating influence is undermined by the agency’s art director Gavin Pitney (Jesse Bond) who casts himself as Jeff’s apprentice and, all too often, the willing accomplice in Jeff’s wayward adventures.
Jeff lives and works in a building owned by his rug merchant uncle, Kazem (Hrant Aliank). While Jeff finds it financially advantageous to have his uncle as his landlord, he also finds Kazem to be a constant source of pressure to find a Persian girl, get married, and start a family - something he’s not ready for.
