About the Show

Jeff Ltd. is a Canadian television sitcom created by Jeff Seymour and Eric From and produced by CTV in association with Seymour & From Productions Inc. and S & S Productions Inc. about an advertising "genius" whose modus operandi involves get-rich-quick schemes and womanising.

The series aired in Canada on CTV from 1 March, 2006 to 28 April, 2007. There are 26 half-hour episodes in two seasons.

Jeff Ltd. premiered in South Africa on SABC3 on Sunday 25 October 2009, at 21h30. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 2 premiered on SABC3 on Sunday 31 January 2010, at 21h30. New episodes air weekly. There are 13 episodes in the second season.

Season 1

Bachelor-entrepreneur Jeff Stevens (Jeff Seymour) is a nickel-and-dime advertising and promotions "genius" who chases get-rich-quick schemes and women of all types with reckless abandon.

He is a man with big dreams who wants all the trappings of success, but doesn't have the work ethic to get there. Instead, the shell games he plays with business and women tend to blow up in his face like trick cigars.

Liz Santerra (Inga Cadranel), Jeff's partner in their company Santerra & Stevens, often finds herself at odds with Jeff's cavalier approach to building their fledgling business.

Liz's moderating influence is undermined by the agency's art director Gavin Pitney (Jesse Bond) who casts himself as Jeff's apprentice and, all too often, the willing accomplice in Jeff's wayward adventures.

Jeff lives and works in a building owned by his rug merchant uncle, Kazem (Hrant Aliank). While Jeff finds it financially advantageous to have his uncle as his landlord, he also finds Kazem to be a constant source of pressure to find a Persian girl, get married, and start a family.

That's something he's not quite ready for.

Season 2

Jeff Seymour returns as the loveable, smooth-talking, "genius-in-his-own-mind" Jeff Stevens, who chases women and half-baked, get-rich-quick schemes with reckless abandon and whose shell games tend to blow up in his face like trick cigars.

Joining Seymour are series regulars Inga Cadranel as Jeff's business partner Liz Santerra, Jesse Bond as the company's art director and Jeff's frequent accomplice in zany adventures Gavin Pitney, Hrant Aliank as Uncle Kazem and Sam Tabar as Jeff's competitive cousin Samir.

The season picks up with Jeff turning his bachelor pad into a university dorm with scantily-clad young women and pillow fights after he promises an old school chum that he will look after his daughter for a week.

Jeff continues to blunder his way through romantic liaisons this season - including an old friend's daughter, a lesbian, a stalker and various clients - each of whom Jeff mistakenly believes to be his perfect match.

His professional foibles finally lead to an 'Outstanding Achievement Award in Advertising' when Jeff receives recognition for his 'genius' work on the Fish Donuts campaign.
