Yester night I watched Motswako and I was so so shocked. It was about family rape. Sometimes i real wonder what other think is the meaning of being a parent to someone

Case 1: Joyce(the mother) is living with her husband whom they have kids together and this man is a healer (inyanga). Joyce told us that she, the husband and their baby girl were sleeping together in the same bed since the baby was born and the baby is very fond of his daddy, The daddy treated their child in the best way that it also caught neighbors and they would pour comments like “you are so lucky Joyce to have a man who loves his child like this”. It happen that in 2007 when the baby was 3 yrs old, Joyce had TB and was hospitalized for 4 months … when she was admitted she asked her cousin/sister to go look after the child, and their brother/uncle also happened to be there (im not sure if they said as ithwasa or it was just a visit also for him). Apparently the child continued to sleep with daddy, she wanted that and she was used to that, So one day when this cousin/sister was changing the girl’s nappy, the girl(3years old) said told this cousin/sister that her daddy put in his penis here(pointing to her private part) … They were shocked but the thought maybe the child is lying, so they let that slip but this cousin told this uncle to leave that house because maybe one the this child will say he did the same to her. And they never told the mother even when she was out of hospital.

Joyce came back and years passed by then this year… Joyce and her husband had a fight this early this year which led them to sleep separately, Joyce slept at the dinning/sitting room and the father in the bedroom with their girl child who is now 6 yrs old … then in April Joyce noticed the discharge in a girls panty and was surprised that the girl at her age has the discharge, well it happened again the second time and now she also noticed that the discharge was dirty and she got worried. She then went to visit her parents home around may and she then told her mother about the discharge thing in her daughter’s underwear, it was the that the cousin/sister told her about what the child said 3 years ago. She then called her daughter and set down with her and ask her if is there anything that daddy has been doing to her, the child(after some persuasion and the assurance from the mother) told the mother that every time when they go to sleep, daddy took out his and her underwear and put in his penis in her private part. That was a shock to the mother. So the mother then went to see the social workers, the girls was then interviewed and she kept saying the same thing which real makes the allegations true. They then arranged counseling for both the mother and the child. Joyce said, after she find out, she never said or asked her husband about that but she went back to stay with the husband and that child (im not sure what was the sleeping arrangement at this time, they didn’t say a thing about it) .. they continued with the counseling and Joyce reported the case to the police and the husband was arrested last month but he is now out on bail. The sad thing is Joyce still need maintenance from this husband but because of the charged and bail what what, the husband is not allowed to come any where near Joyce, so when Joyce asked him for children’s food he sent them 5 kg meal- meal pack and braai pack, that was it..

Case two … There is also a 17year old mental disturbed girl who has been sexual abused by her brother in such that she thought that’s what was supposed to happen …it happen until someone called the police and Ms Pule (Police) took on that case it it wont her the best police for whatever month ..
There were also some things that were said about community policing forum but I was already angry to hear them what were they on about

So ya, this world is real sick and it is sad, did you watch Motswako and what is your take on that?

That is really sad. i always think about that. I tell people that i will never trust a man it doesn't matter if it's my fathers child or not. I just don't trust a man. i think everytime they see a women it doesn't matter the age they see sex.

I cannot believe that men think that it's right to do that to a child. It's sick and disgusting. I remember a story that DR Phil once did.

The couple were married and had gone on holiday and they had the grandparents( father's parents) babysit.

So one day the grandmother was bathing the girl adn she told him that Grandpa touched her pipi(vjay jay), the grandmother said nothing and decided not to tell the parents. But she did ask the grandpa about it and he admitted to touching her adn more.

So when the parents came back from holiday the girl told the mother the same thing and also told her that grandma also knows.

The mother obviously told the father what the girl had said and the father wouldnt believe the child. They confronted the grandpa adn grandma and they both admitted to it. the grandma knew and said nothing about it. Her excuse was it's a family problem adn should be kept in the family.

the baby's father kept saying how sorry he feels for his dad and how he doesnt want to see him go to jail for that. The mother was furious......

Nx I hate this kind of stories they make me feel really bad,how can a father do that to his own blood, and as for that brother who raped his mentally distrurbed sister is also sick,I cant imagine having sex with your brother hayi suka man...

Ag shame man, Many people refuse to speak about such rapes. It's hard because family is supposed to be there to protect you not harm you.

There are some sick people out there, imagine doing that to your own flesh and blood? Sis maan! Nna i would really go to jail if someone did that to my child.

I was so angry that the father came out on bail. Our justice system is really corrupt, how on earth can they be so linient on a case like this? nxa!! its cases like these where i wish death penalty could be back! This makes me sick!

That is so sad...I wonder when the rape really started, some people are sick..this shows that rape is indeed not about sex. Did they take the 6 year old to the doctor to confirm if penetration really did take place?

Yes Mathaz they did take the child to the doctor and indeed it was confirmed that the child was rapped hence the counselling

The guy disappeared for years until I was older and wiser.

I got it from my mom to want to protect everything that i care about.

I saw that show BA and it was just disturbing, i didn't finish it. But i didn't how the mother could ignore the first sign which was a discharge on the girls panty, even if she didn't go to the police immediately, i expected some kind of reaction to that, qha ke shame isikolo siyabetha sometimes.

I used to sleep with my parents until I was 13, and even today I am still fond of my day and never did he try anything this sick.

I am not sure if that father would live another five minutes after he raped any of my family i dont care if is my sister or whoever ,family or not family, ngizokubhantitela full time.

i always make sure that i speak openly to the kids and make sure that they can ask me anything no matter how bad it is,just to make them feel free, i manage to get a 18 year guy in our location who was repeadly raping a boy and a girl they were sister and a brother,and thretening to kill them if they tell a soul. the mother use to leave them and go drinking where this guy was staying and as soon as she comes in the guy would go out and rape the kids.

i notice that when other kids were playing they would sit together and not play with other kids, this was happening for almost three years and it took me just 15 minutes to get to the bottom of this,the guy is doing twenty years his family hates me like hell,but theres nothing they can do.

infact just thinking about it , i am getting more irritated ,because we parents are theones suppose to secure our kids. tell you child you love him/her and you will kill anyone who will hurt them. as long as they no ukuthi awusabi muntu they will report everything to you, if kids are fighting let him come running to you, go out show your kids ukuthi you care , even if you wont do anything they feel secure around you , they will tell you everything.if someone thretens to kill them , they will tell that person ukuthi umamami akasabi muntu ngizomtshela.

Shame man…this is so sad...coz the effects that this rape thing does to young girls when they are older is just not cool! Some of them will end sleeping around with all kinds of different they meet…some shame, end up with bitter feeling towards every male that comes their way. It’s really sad!

Ask her question Phikiza. It only takes a few minutes to know that something is wrong with the child.

Men like these deserve to experience the most excruciating pain that can ever be inflicted on a person, jail or death will not do, I say chop their dicks and balls off in public and let them walk around like that till they bleed to death.
