Season 11 (34 overall) premiered in May already and the impact of cast contracts will be felt over the next few months with two exits, a comeback and four newcomers.
Guess who's back? Click the Spoiler! tag to reveal:

Buntu Petse returns to reprise her role as Nontle Majola.
Buntu joined Gen as Ayanda's daughter in 2019 and wasn't in Season 10.
She was too busy having a baby boy.
On the other end of the see-saw we have Pearl Monama in a major development on the goodbye front.
She's exiting her role as Dr Siphesihle Cele
after almost 10 years on the show.
She's still in the action
in July and leaves towards the end of the year. How should she go?
Also leaving: Gen's resident Detective Pele Dali Malinga, played by Andile Nebulane.
He's going to find a mysterious bag of cash next month which looks set to signify the start of his exit.
Is he going to?...
A. Take a bullet for it.
B. Buy a Russian bride.
C. Open a detective agency in a spin-off show.
Which brings us to the newcomers who'll be arriving soon.
Here's who's In with their character portraits and debut dates:
Ausi Nokwazi Lukhozi
Played by Tinah Mnumzana
Ausi is impulsive and spontaneous. Anything goes with her. She's reckless but tries to get things together.
She was a pretty girl, but she has abused her body. She's loyal to the streets, loyal to anyone who gives her money. Talkative. Opinionated. Wrong or right, she’s always right.
She can sell anything. Persuasive. Never takes no for an answer. She ignores things she doesn’t like, as if she didn’t hear it.
She loves everyone, but it depends on what she gets from you. She’s street-smart. She knows no boundaries. She can start a conversation with anyone.
Tinah on her role:
Tinah: “It feels so good and beautiful at the same time to be part of the biggest production. The crew and cast are amazing and have welcomed me so warmly. Working along the likes of Manaka Ranaka (Lucy Diale) is amazing.”
She debuts on 30 June 2025.
Vuyelwa Nxumalo
Played by Nozuko Ntshangase
Vuyelwa is smart. She is pushy and a straight talker. She went to a private school from Grade One and has never been without opportunities.
She is hard-working and wants those around her to do the same. She's desperate to make it big, to make a big name for herself before 30.
She’s empathetic but tries to fight against it because this is a dog-eat-dog world.
Nozuko is adorable, and it is easy to mistake her for naïve until she surprises you.
She’s methodical and hates adapting. She's a great planner and non-experimental unless pushed. She wants to have an investigative journalistic show on TV, on an international platform.
MM Media is a step closer but not a destination.
Nozuko: “I am so excited to join the mother of all soapies. Breathing life into the character of Vuyelwa is amazing, and I can’t wait for the people to witness the magic.”
She debuts on 9 July 2025.
Donald Brave
Played by Phillip Tipo Tindisa
Donald is a real delakufa. Some may call him a criminal. A survivor. Bitter about everything.
Life has knocked him hard. He's angry and insecure. Desperate and forced to be dependent. Unreliable. Cunning. Disconnected from family (for years).
He is also compassionate, loving and caring. With very little education. Educated by hardships. Living in poverty. He is good with guns but would rather not use them.
He's scared of himself. He knows what he is capable of but avoids being pushed to that point. Gaunt. He has just come from a mine - a hole as a zama-zama.
Phillip: “I’m honoured to join the cast and crew of Generations - The Legacy, and I am happy to be part of the family.”
He debuts on 11 July 2025.
Sis’Phindi MaNxumalo
Played by Sannah Mchunu (often credited as Sana Mchunu)
Modest, kind, silent, but a sharp sword when provoked. Sis'Phindi's secretive and demanding. She's submissive to men only. Adaptable. Full of shame and guilt but comes across as protective.
She is bitter and dresses older than she is. Confident on the outside but crumbling on the inside. Courageous. Responsible.
Sannah: “When I got the call that I got the role, I felt like break dancing. I have always wanted to be part of the biggest production Generations: The Legacy. I thank the almighty for this biggest opportunity.”
She debuts on 23 July 2025.
