Music Industry

I am hear to present to you a common problem amongst young people who have great talents to offer. The industry some what has a way of selling new talent short by not giving them the exposure they need to make it. At times you strike it lucky if you are discoverd by one of the legends within this industry whom then works so hard to use their influences to expose you.

It is then your bad luck should it happen that your talent is discoverd by that which is going to feel intimedated by your talent. They will assume that you are here to take the lime lite away from them. Yet this lime lite is so huge we can all share in it and get a chance to shine in it. This common problem is the very same that puts alot of young artists at very compromising situations. You either have to sleep or sniff your way up to either show that you are woman or man enough to do either or of the above. Like I had said it can be cruel or it can be cool at times. It all depends on how big & strong a back bone you have. The industry can finish your career before it even starts.

I am indeed talking from personal experience, I was once put at a very compromising situation. Where i had to chose to leave my husband behind at the club and take off with one of the events organisers on that event. I would batter myself in exchange for my artist to perfome at their stage to gain exposure. I will how ever not mension any names but this was in Cape Town and was initiated by a genlteman from one of the highly recognised icons in the music industry from Jozi. I was so discusted that I could not even menssion it to mys husband for he would dismiss me from the project with no hesitation. I at least had the back bone to tell this gentleman to stuff up the opportunity where the sun don't shine. This artist is the very same that intimidates many with the great perfomance and how greatly the crowd responds to them. The artists who have been long in the industry then do not want to share the stage because they would then be exposed as to how poor a perfomance they put up. This makes it very difficult because you are not on good books with the influencial beings then your no where near getting the exposure you need and desverve to make it just like them!!!!

The platform is huge we can all share it exposing our strong points that will just stand out because we are all unique in our own ways!!!!! SHEER GOOD TALENT DESERVES A CHANCE....
