The Australian Navy Patrol returns for a second season to battle the elements in a bid to defend Australia’s borders and enforce its economic zone.

Set against the Australian Gold Coast, the series follows 24 sailors from all walks of life, age and temperament all crammed aboard the veteran Hammersley - a 160 ft metal hulled Naval Patrol boat - a pressure cooker of emotions, desires and ambitions.

Together they tackle a variety of adventures including hunting down armed drug smugglers, chasing thieves or pirates, helping fools and saving reckless illegal immigrants.

The show also unveils the gender and cultural diversity of the Navy, and focuses on contemporary issues such as immigration, illegal fishing, drug-running and people-smuggling.

Each episode centres round an underlying mystery.

Flashpoint

A new crime/drama series about the Strategic Response Unit - a team of elite cops who are the blueblood of the force. High risk is their business and life-and-death stakes are their world.

The SRU team rescue hostages, bust gangs, defuse bombs, climb buildings, see through walls and talk down suicidal teens. It takes years on the street, intense physical conditioning and elite marksmanship for members to qualify for the SRU. They have to prove that they’re at the top of their game on a daily basis.

The group uses state-of-the-art equipment (sniper rifles, snake-cameras, robots, flash-bangs, night-vision and tasers) and most importantly, they read emotion, use their human intuition and need the gift of words to get inside the minds of those they're battling.
