Just a question really, why dont we have white , indian, chinese people in The Big Brother africa house. are we honestly saying there are no white people In Africa, or are we still stereotyping Blacks as only Africans, wouldnt it be nice to have a a person of a different skin in the house, just a thought or are we honestly saying whites , Indians and others Are not Africans..?

Ao hle, and u wud expect that person 2 be able 2 communicate with Mimi? Smoothly? Hehehehe anyway, to answer ur question, I don't know. Maybe they didn't audition in numbers and the few who did were not impressive enough to the producers. The rules say 12 Housemates from 12 African countries so for me it's all abt that, not their races. We should slow down on this obsession with Race and I'm sure SAn's are the only ones wondering abt this. A lot of africans are racists though, so i doubt they would vote for a white person to win anyway.

BBA is showing the demographics of the african continent. Not that there aren't any whites, but they are a minority!

BBA1 had 1 white guy from Namibia - Africa made a fuss about it. He was the first one to kill us to boredom with his guitar. then code came along with the same script.

So from  the first BBA and with only 1 white guy chosen, i doubt any whities audition, but they watch the shows with darkies making fools of themselves...'

wena shugs, stop messing with our deeva... Mimzo rocks!! she is a true african, not changing her accent to an american or a british one...

I should have auditioned for this BB to represent the Indians. If Uti is crapping on Thami so much, imagine what he would have done to me :-)

I am not sure about Lulu representing the Other races, in the same token one can argue that Richard Bezeidunhout( bathong ke betha ke spelling) Is/was coloured, but just imagine the posiibilities if we had one race each in the house, one indian, one chinese( Not black) LOL... I think ,maybe the Namibian guy in the first BB spoiled it for us, anyway i cant comment much on that, since i didnt have a DSTV decoder then!!

but isnt Lucille coloured?

Lucille is not coloured,... she is Damara-Nama, with the emphasis on Nama,... the Nama tribe is generally lighter in complexion.

And as a Namibian, I think we have been appropriately represented by Stefan, Maureen and Lu.  They are representative of what the Namibian socieity is about.

The ish about skin colour in my opinion, is all in people's mind.  We should really get over this skin colour thing now.

The only success of Apartheid and colonisation is the seperation of black people

i completely agreee!! Maureen was NOT namibian, WSG!!!!!! Meryl is Namibian....

It will take a long time for South African's to get over their race issues but I like the diversity bb idea.. 2 of each race kinda thing!!
