The new gameshow Power of 10 premiered on M-Net last night (Sunday, 3 August 2008) and quizzed contestants with the first set of the game's questions.

In the build-up to the show hundreds of questions were posed to South African's round the country and they've been put together to create statistical data for the game by the research company Markinor. 

These are the premiere questions contestants got asked and the correct answers to them:

What percentage of South Africans said men are more dishonest than women?
Answer: 58%

What percentage of South Africans said they believe in Karma?
Answer: 25%

What percentage of South Africans said drivers’ licenses should be taken away when a person reaches the age of 70?
Answer: 43%

What percentage of South Africans think it is acceptable to break up with their partner via SMS?
Answer: 17%

What percentage of South Africans said they can speak a full sentence in an official South African language other than English & Afrikaans?
Answer: 74%

What percentage of South Africans think children have it easier now than they did when they were young?
Answer: 77%

What percentage of South Africans think their parents have a favourite child?
Answer: 42%

What percentage of South African men think women use PMS as an excuse to be grumpy?
Answer: 25%

What percentage of South Africans said they have dropped food onto the floor, picked it up and then eaten it?
Answer: 35%

What percentage of South African men said they stare at a woman's cleavage if she is wearing a low-cut top?
Answer: 62%

What percentage of South Africans said they wash their hands after using the toilet?
Answer: 90%
