Here are the song choices for this week's Idols Spectacular:

M-Net’s Idols competition is hotting up with bigger and bolder song choices each week, as the remaining finalists have to find a suitable song within the prescribed theme.

This week, the musical theme for the Top 8 Spectacular at the Ellispark Arena on Sunday, 28 October is Rock. As the contestants ponder their wardrobe choices for this theme, here are their song choices, in alphabetical order:

Please tell me they're not going to dress Yolanda up (as Aril) in a short school skirt and tie rock chick attiduenal thingy.
Rock is not easy - and i'm worried about Bjorn's Eye of The Tiger and Andreiette's Outta Love....
Can't wait to see how they'e going to do!

Err - sponono has a point.
who's singing Puff Johnson? it looks like we have one extra song and no-one to sing it.... could Colin finally be serenading me??? ;)

I fear for Daniel singing Queen, Andriette should pull off the Anastacia song and I'm hoping Bjorn does great with Eye of the tiger. As for the others, Kelly Clarkson can be either be good or bad, there's no in-between. Yolanda and Avril Lavigne, I admire her risky song choices week after week, I'm not sure about this one.

We wait with bated breath.....

doop - just seen Mara going off! LOL! Good on her - she's spot on - the sound's so shocking it's like listening to something out of the twilight zone everyone's so off.

but the sound on tv is good i think, at the standard bank arena it sounds horrible
