Hey Bloggaz... Happy Friday...!!!

Eish I havent written on my Entertainment Blog for a while...! Its mainly because I was giving y'all some time to shine hi hi hi hi... but seriously, there hasn't been anything exciting on TV to "write" home about, except Beyonce's excellent music videos. But then I didnt want to be sued and accused of being biased that girl rawks.

Now all of that has changed.... MetroFm just announced that they will be invading Cape Town in November for the MetroFm Awards. Now I dont have to tell you why im excited, I live in Cape Town so heellloooooo - that's where I'll be @ !!

MetroFm is the only station that I listen to in Cape Town - I must say I used to listen to 5fm as well, but since they did the re-shuffling... I might aswell glue my dial on 93.00fm... now b4 TDC reprimands me on this blog not being TV related... well it is...

With the announcement of MetroFm awards, they'll be asking... or is it begging us to nominate the nominees. You know when we all have to call with suggestions of who should be nominated. Then they'll choose the nominees, then we will decide who wins.

Yah so it FUBU (For Us By Us)... the TV related Category would have to be the BEST MUSIC VIDEO Award...

Now I have been thinking really hard of which video's could possibly be nominated.... hmmmmmm ponder ponder ponder...

                       Nhlanhla with her main man....

The first local video that comes to mind is Nhlanhla's new video, what's it called konje...?? I know Thomas says its dedicated to Naked Dj, coz she starts the song by saying puna puna puna puna puna, you're too funny Tee, now i sing it like that.. eish.

The reason why the song comes to my head is...: Not only is it a nje (nothing special) video... she still sounds like Mafikizolo to me. Basically the hype was not hype enough. Sorry Nhlanhla your video doesnt convience me to go buy your album. How the hell do you have a yatch in a room??? You see, if you didnt leave Kalawa, you could've borrowed the one they used on one of their Lez'ez'kwazulu vid.

With TS getting PROkid on their stable, that should bring enough revenue to buy a Yatch..coz I am going to buy Pro's album (bad vid or not)...?? I know there are die hard Mafikizolo fans (not me) that will vote for her in other categories, I just hope the vid doesnt make it... or am I wrong...?? And since she just went solo, does she qualify for the BEST NEW COMMER Award??

The next vid is Qopoloza by L-factor. Okay let me give this girl some respect that other ppl think she deserves... Its Siphokazi - Amaqala!! Now in this video she's supposedly walking estradini, but at the end of the video she's on a treadmill. Hawu guys...!! I think the treadmill is set on "uphill" because she looks tired & uncomfortable... Im not a Siphokazi fan, yes she has a beautiful voice, but its not my cup of tea. Will she get your vote??

Hmm let me see... I would vote for the Durbanites' Videos. Not only are they fun (making you wish u were their video h*..) but their songs are rocking too. I mean who does bob his or her head when Tzozo & Professor call out Amantombazannnnn... Amantombazanneeee!!!!

Lets not forget L'vovo...shem since bam'shaye ngeCurrent at the SAMAs.. do you think he'll get a METRO or will he go home with just another nomination?? Eish but 1 plea to the Durbanites... we know you have the beach....but hawu... I wont even start counting how many Durban video's feature igagasi!!!!

Hmm what other video??.....aaahh Lira!! Not only was she robbed of the SAMAs (she only got a video award), hopefully people will remember her when nominating. This is why I love the Metro's - we decide who deserves the Awards. So will Lira get your BEST MUSIC VIDEO AWARD??

We know Arthur will lauch a campaign begging for votes for his favourite number 1 and bestes artist "Chomee"!! sorry Speedy, dont think you have what Chomee has, so you'll never be Arthur's #1. Have you seen the uhm..eeh fat girl (what the politically correct word? Over weight?) on the 999 videos?? Who's that girl?? Ushaya i-stretch esi-serious - itjo!!

Jozi?? They only have one video (what's with the attitude) will the attitude of Crazy Lu cost them any nomination in any category?? I really love their songs getting airplay on the radio. I havent listened to the whole album, but its getting great reviews. Its unfortunate that they are loosing a mate!!

       he said he was dissappointed that he didnt get some award.. - haai Danny!!

Who else gets their video's played on TV?? Danny K's Frozen - Metrofm killed that song!! I change channels when the video comes on. Lets do Danny a favour and freeze him again!!

Shem TS records?? They only have 1 artist...so there wont be 12 people running up the stage to get 1 award?? ....eeeh oops.. I just went to their website... Ok I forgot about Robie, Sash man, Snethemba (who are they???), DJ Sbu ofcoz, Mzekezeke (Is he coming back???) - ok I guess I have to rephrase before getting in trouble with Sbu (again): The only artist TS is making noise about is Nhlanhla.. we even forgot the other ones exist - how does that song go konje...."its a family affaaaiiirrrrrr"!!

Speaking of many people collecting 1 award... Skwatta Kamp is relaxed with their album neh?? Yini guys, senishadile, you feel you dont need to be out there anymore?? I like the Dali Mawaza Video! Apparently that was shot at a real wedding. Im just not sure if the bride and groom were real, coz the dress worn by the makoti...haai eh eh.. its sooo Skwata Kamp!! hhihihihih.. I lahv these boys to bits tho'. I think this is 1 video i'll vote for.

Morafe has a video out; Letter for/to Motswako! It was number 1 on the MTV Base countdown, so I guess they are doing something right. LIVE played Mo'Molemi's video the other night! Do you Motswakotation will get a nomination..??.hihihih that rhymes... maybe I should gun for that best new commer award...next yr...!!!

I cant think of any other videos that are getting airplay... please remind me. Which local video rawks your world so much that you will nominate it for the Metro!!?? Do you think the quality of music videos is getting better or worse?? Which videos should be banned for good!!!??

Since I love Radio soooo much, I'll keep you updated when the nominations come out to see if your favourite local video got a vote.

My Beef with MetroFm though...
Your website has been under construction for ever... which will be here first... Gautrain or the website?? Im glad they are atleast doing something about it.. the old website was sooo old.. the gallery had pics from back in 1991!! im kidding...but you know what I mean...

There are some songs on the playlist that have scratches. When you sing along you sing along to the scratch aswell. There's one song that reaches a chorus then all of a Sunday you hear a line of "Chante's Moore's Wey U (waiting 2 exhale)" ...till today...!!

EDIT 6 August 07: It's the KCi & Jojo - Love you for life..then Sonja Marie comes in with "And I give my love). Aza just played the song just now...and there's still a scratch!

And how do I get hold of this sweater??? Coz I lahv it very much.... anyone???

I think chommee's videos, actually all 999 music video should be banned. We are tired of seeing half naked girls doing the same dance routines on our screens. I also hate the fact that u Authur puts Owami on all his video's now. Isn't she 2 young for that. Please Authur come up with something different.

Nhlanhla's "Ungowam" video should be banned. Please bethuna, lets join hands on this one and agree she sounds exactly like Mafikizolo, and the vid is so corny and just terrible. Usisi doesnt have the greatest voice either.

TDC akere bathu they want to see 5***** and they think its a great deal, lenna thats the case. i won't offer anything extra ordinary. hot shower/bath, English breakfast in bed/dinning room, transport from and to the airport, transport to the awards, an after party at home. sleep and come back to Gauteng. thats my 5* treatment to whoever will provide the tickets and oh, dinner will be at any resturant of your choice, on you ofcourse......hi hi hi
