Season 2

Season 2 features 50 local musicians and is now hosted by Trevor 'Trey' Sineke and Nandi Madida, in this show in which South African artists collaborate to create songs from scratch.

Artists from different genres are paired up and given two days to create brand-new tracks, fusing different music styles. The tracks are then put together by award-winning South African music producers and recorded in front of a live studio audience.

Coke Studio is a platform for musicians and producers to get together and make original music. This approach results in production of new music that may have never happened otherwise.

Each episode features two fusion tracks with artists from different music genres and focuses on the interaction between them as they write, mix and record a song – before performing it together.

In the first episode of the second season there is a fusion of sounds from Riky Rick and Scales, produced by Sketchy Bongo.

Other acts in Season 2 include Jimmy Nevis, Morena Squire, Toya Delazy, Monark, Francois Van Coke, Fifi Cooper and more.

Coke Studio is produced locally by Goodnoise Productions, with executive producers Brian O'Shea and Crighton Goodwill and series producer Carol Jenkins. The executive producer for e.tv is Molefi Lebone.
