Darien Fawkes was a small-time thief until his brother developed an artificial gland that could turn a man invisible. To avoid a jail sentence, Darien agreed to act as a guinea pig, but things went wrong when terrorists killed his brother, leaving Darien with the gland stuck in his head.
Facing the prospect of madness if the gland is not removed, a mysterious official offers Darien the possibility that a cure may be found if he agrees to work for a secret government agency.
