Season 4

Blue Murder is a Canadian crime drama television series created by Steve Lucas and Cal Coons in which the fictitious Blue Murder squad members are an elite group of big-city investigators out to solve some of Toronto's most complicated and riveting crimes.

The series originally aired in Canada on Global from 10 January, 2001 to 9 July, 2004. There are 52 hour-long episodes in four seasons.

Blue Murder premiered in South Africa on SABC1 on Monday 2 October 2006, at 22h00. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 4 premiered on SABC1 on Monday 1 June 2009, at 22h00. There are 13 episodes in the fourth and final season.

Synopsis

Blue Murder is about a group of Toronto police officers who investigate unusual cases, usually cold cases.

Fighting crime in the big city requires a strong and united police force. But when the crime you're investigating implicates your own, the job becomes more difficult.

That's the task that confronts the Blue Murder team, a group of investigators who are responsible for handling the high profile, messy cases that have the potential of damaging the reputation of the very police force in which they serve.

This is their world - a world where solving the crime can be more dangerous than committing one.
