Season 1
2020 Orlando East is a South African television miniseries produced by Peu Communication Solutions as a follow-up to the TV movie of the same name as part of the Lokshin Bioskop Series strand which follows a father's quest to find the children he fathered in his youth.
The series originally aired on DStv's Mzansi Magic channel from 1-29 January, 2013, on Tuesdays at 21h00. It later aired on DStv's Mzansi Wethu channel. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.
2020 Orlando East premiered on Mzansi Wethu on Monday 17 June 2013, at 21h30. New episodes broadcast weekly. There are five hour-long episodes in the series.
Synopsis
Pitso Mohomane fathered four children in his youth, but he has never witnessed a baby's first steps. He gets a rude awakening when Thulani Dlamini impregnates his wife and demands to play an active role in the child's upbringing.
Haunted by his past mistakes, Pitso sets out on a long journey to find his children. His sudden appearance disrupts relationships, opens old wounds and changes lives forever.
2020 Orlando East is produced by Peu Communication Solutions, with story development by head writer Winnie Serite and television writers Phathu Makwarela (Muvhango, The Wild and Zone14 among others) and Sipho Xolisa Tshapu (TVSA blogger, Isidingo Storyliner and New Media Coordinator for the show).

When Pitso Mohomane goes on a search for his children, he is met with some hostility. Skeletons tumble out of the closet and turn innocent people's lives upside down.
