Find Me the Face is a British docu-reality television series produced by BBC Factual Entertainment in which two of the UK's fashion industry talent scouts put their reputations on the line by trying to fulfil the brief for a unique advertising campaign in just one month.
The series premiered in the UK on BBC 3 on 12 February, 2008. There are six hour-long episodes in the series.
Find Me the Face premiered in South Africa on DStv's BBC Lifestyle channel on Wednesday 18 March 2009, at 21h20.
Synopsis
Ever think that brands should use ‘ordinary’ people in their advertising? That there are just as many attractive people on the street as on the model agents’ books?
The next big thing is just waiting to be spotted... Kate Moss was spotted in an airport, Claudia Schiffer at a nightclub.
In this format, two of the fashion industry’s top talent scouts put their reputations on the line by trying to fulfil the brief for a unique advertising campaign in just one month.
But instead of going to a modelling agency, the brief demands that they ditch the size zero stereotype and find that face on the streets of towns and cities.
Roaming the country, they search the streets to find ordinary people with model potential and the challenge is immense. Once found, the contenders are plucked from obscurity to go on an emotional journey and the transformation of a lifetime.
Each scout must then make a difficult decision – which one of their discoveries are they putting forward for the campaign? Will they make the right choice? Will this be the moment that could change one person’s life forever?
Each episode culminates in a dramatic reveal as the commercial client decides which of the finalists will become the face of their campaign.
