Rizzoli & Isles stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander as Boston's top crime-solving duo. Harmon plays Jane Rizzoli, a tough-as-nails Boston police detective, and Alexander is Dr. Maura Isles, a smart, impeccably dressed medical examiner from a privileged background.
Despite being complete opposites, the two women share an offbeat chemistry, an authentic and deep friendship and a unique working relationship, a killer combination that helps them solve the most complex murder mysteries in the city of Boston.
In the Season 6 premiere: When it appears one of their own shot an unarmed man on a busy Boston subway platform, the team must fight to find the real killer while clearing our detective's name.
But with Internal Affairs breathing down their necks, it becomes clear that the circumstances surrounding this shooting are anything but clear.
Season 6 also stars Jordan Bridges, Idara Victor (recurring previously), Bruce McGill and Lorraine Bracco.
Rizzoli & Isles is produced by Warner Horizon Television and Bill Haber's Ostar Productions, with Haber and showrunner Jan Nash serving as executive producers. The show was developed by Janet Tamaro and is based on a series of novels by best-selling crime writer Tess Gerritsen.
