Season 2
Lui Maar Op, Belinda (Give it a Rest, Belinda) is a South African, Afrikaans-language television sitcom which revolves around a group of older shop staff and their bumbling young security chief at a general dealer in George.
Ian & Ander is a small corner shop in George belonging to Ian Jantjies (Duncan Johnson), a middle-aged man who left the bustle of the big city to experience small town serenity.
But because of his three 'older' employees, who for some reason can't be left unattended, Ian only ever experiences havoc and chaos.
Belinda Swanepoel (Brümilda van Rensburg), a former actress, has an obsession with mirrors, spending all of her time looking at herself and forgetting about customers at the cash register.
Annetjie Nel (Annelisa Weiland), a militarist spinster, marches around barking orders at everyone whilst trying to keep an eye on Ian's wife, who likes to take without paying.
Then there is the poor, charming farm hero Frans Wessels (Eric Nobbs), who tries to keep the peace between Annetjie and Belinda, but rarely succeeds.
Together they must face the challenges of old age, but also learn that life is full of second chances and that one is never too old to have fun.
As Season 2 gets underway, it's a few years later and life with Ian & Others is dull and boring.
So dull and boring that Belinda plans to jump off the Bloukrans bridge with the rest of them...
