Season 2

Meerkat Manor is a British wildlife docu-reality television series created by Caroline Hawkins and produced by Oxford Scientific Films for Animal Planet which follows the everyday life of a meerkat family called the Whiskers, living in the Kalahari Desert in South Africa.

The series made its international debut in South Africa on DStv's Animal Planet channel on Monday 5 September 2008, at 18h30. It premiered in the UK on Animal Planet International a week later, on 12 September, 2005.

There are 53 half-hour episodes in four seasons to date. See "Seasons" below for seasonal broadcast dates and times.

Season 2

After making it through a year of triumph and tragedy, the Whiskers mob of meerkats is back to continue another season of love, intrigue and drama on the African plains.

Narrated by Bill Nighy, Season 2 of the critically-acclaimed series features more adventures of the Whiskers family, as they are joined by a new cast of friends... and enemies.

Each episode of the 13-part season follows the real-life soap opera dramas of this zany group of meerkats as they fight for power, dominance and survival in Africa's Kalahari Desert.

Don't let their cuddly appearance fool you though - there's a good reason these meerkat families are called a 'mob'.

From family quarrels to love affairs to backstabbing worthy of a Shakespearean tale, these fuzzy reality-TV stars pack a huge dramatic punch.

The show is narrated by Bill Nighy in the UK and Canada, Mike Goldman in Australia, and Sean Astin (Seasons 1-3) and Stockard Channing (4-) in the USA.
