Presented by Masechaba Moshoeshoe The Big Question is a weekly talk show that debates both sides of ethical or moral dilemmas that affect the lives of South Africans. The wide-ranging topics the show covers have included: - Can we put the past behind us? - Do prisoners have too many rights? - Does the church suppress women? - Is Matric worth the paper it's written on? - Is the Jesus story a myth? Each episode begins with two field presenters needing to prove one side of the debate by going out, chatting to real people and finding those who are experiencing one side of the argument first hand. Both sides are explored after which the argument is brought back to the studio where a panel of experts debate it in two teams for a live studio audience. They defend their point of view as strongly as possible, viewers are encouraged to reach their own conclusions and have their say by voting on each topic.
