Millions of kids tune in to SABC 1 every weekday at 15h30, to take part in the only daily, national, interactive, live kid show on South African TV.
We know how kids nowadays just love to be in control, and with YOTV’s Wildroom, they not only influence the outcome of the show, but they’re totally in charge.
They play the games, they vote, they choose the videos, they SMS, they make the snacks, they decide what to wear, they tell the camera-man how to shoot – in fact, they produce the show! And all they need to be part of the wildness is a telephone!
Each daily, half-hour show is ‘controlled’ by six callers, who not only go up against each other in exciting phone based games, but also help the presenters decide stuff during the show, like what to wear, or what to eat.
They also win great prizes and go head to head with the Studio Guest for the day.
Days of the week are themed, giving each day of the week a different flavour, i.e. Wednesdays is sporty, Thursday music related and Fridays are movie days.
But, because of the live nature of the show, and the fact that viewers play such an important role in the goings on, YOTV’s Wildroom is the kind of show that is never the same.
